Turning Pointe Dance Studio offers three levels of dance instruction - Recreational, Performing and Competition.  The difference in the levels of dancing varies in ability, expectations, cost per month, cost per costume, number of classes, length of class(es), number of performances, variety of dance styles, and number of dancers performed in recital.


From this address, families will receive all information on events, activities, schedules, memos and anything the faculty needs to relay to parents to keep everyone informed.  Updates will be sent weekly and any new info during each week that needs to be shared right away will be sent accordingly via email.  Families can submit their email addresses via the registration form.


       30  minute recreational class                          $30 per month

45-55 minute recreational class                      $50 per month

60 minute recreation class                              $55.00  per month

75-90 minute recreational class                      $70 per month

It is important to register early to ensure space in the class of your choice. A completed registration form with a $25 registration fee payable once YEARLY is due the first day of class. Refunds will be given if the class is not held, or if space in the class is not available.  In the interest of keeping classes small and instruction personal, space will be limited.



Tuition is due on the first of the month, and will be deducted from the credit or debit card which you provide at time of registration.  Turning Pointe will send tuition invoices via email 5 days prior to the due dates. These emails are a friendly reminder for your convenience and serve as a receipt for you. Because Tuition/fees will be deducted from a debit or credit card each month there are no late fees.

Class Descriptions

The objective for the participant in the Recreational program is to have fun learning the basic steps and positions of jazz, tap, ballet and tumbling.  The program is designed to enhance team participation, memory, listening, sequencing skills, balance and coordination as the dancers learn to express themselves physically.


Princess Camp4-5 day camp offered to 3-5 year olds during winter break and twice each summer. Dancers explore tap, ballet, and creative movement, tumbling and participate in dance crafts. (offered Summers and Winter break)  $130 per week

Adult Tap   Six week sessions   45 min dance class focuses on the basic dance techniques of tap as well as develops the dance vocabulary. Sessions available:  Fall, Winter l, Winter ll, Spring l, Spring ll

 Gymnastics/Acro hour long class  Students will work on gymnastics moves which will coincide with moves in their dance choreography this season.

Mommy and Me Six week Sessions for dancers 18 months to 2 years and their caregiver.  30 minute class was designed to give the student and experience in movement and music with the support and encouragement of a loved one nearby to make the initial experience special!  Available:  Fall, Winter l, Winter ll, Spring l, Spring ll

Creative Movement for 2-3 year olds A beginning level 30 minute movement and pre-dance class to help dancers begin the process of moving with the beat, following directions, and developing creative musicianship!

Ballet and Tap Combination class     (two age groups)

***3 and 4 year olds  ***4-5 year olds

55 min. combination class for 3, 4 and younger 5 year olds. This introductory dance class focuses on the basic dance techniques of ballet, jazz, tap & tumbling. Dancers must be potty trained.

Pre-K/Kindergarten Tap and Jazz --hour long

 combination class for Kindergarten, 6 and 7  year olds- This introductory dance class focuses on the techniques of ballet, jazz, tap & tumbling.

“Kids” Tap and Jazz Combo class—hour long

6, 7 & 8 year olds. This introductory dance class focuses on the basic dance techniques of tap & jazz.

"Junior “Tap and Jazz Combo class—hour long

 9, 10 & 11 year olds. This  dance class focuses on the basic dance techniques of tap & jazz.




"Teen" Tap and Jazz   (Teens with little or no dance experience)

An hour long combination class --This introductory dance class focuses on the basic dance techniques of tap & jazz, as well as develops the dancers’ flexibility and dance vocabulary.

“Boys Only”  Hip-Hop 45-55 min. class for boys 5-12 years of age. This introductory dance class focuses on the basic dance techniques of hip hop.

Recreational  Co-Ed Hip Hop Hour long class which dancers learn the basic dance techniques of hip hop and learn to sequence them into dance combinations.  Dancers will also experience improvisation

Recreational Musical Theater 1 hour class which explores the

 art of musical theater, dance and acting. Students experience an

introduction to Broadway Musical dances and tunes.

Musical Theater Campa 4-5 day camp available during the summer/winter break  dance offerings.  $130 /week

Ballet Student will be introduced to basic ballet fundamentals,

 including body alignment, vocabulary, and basic positions

of the feet & arms.  Students will move through barre, center work & progressions Level Placement is at the sole discretion of the

Ballet Instructor.  Levels offered:   Beginners, Older Beg., Int, & Adv.

Lyrical-Students combine the placements of ballet technique with jazz and learn the lyrical style—45 min- hour long class.

Pointe acceptance is at the discretion of  the ballet instructor

Technique In this class, students will learn jazz,

Lyrical & Ballet technique in progression style. 75 minute class



Each dancer is required to pay a recital participant fee.This fee helps to covers facilities and staff compensation for the dress rehearsals and the recital times.  Costume fees are listed below and reflect the price of one costume. Each class receives one costume:

Recital participant fee: $45

Costume: $85.00    Tights/socks and accessories $15

These fees will be charged at time of registration and distributed on a 9.5 month payment plan.
