The objective for the participant in the Competition program is to begin more advanced technique concepts such as proper body alignment, balance and position. They will begin faster and more intricate tap sounds. Jazz will bring up the pace. The high-energy style will incorporate turns, footwork and body isolations. The participant will also take part in extra performances around the Eagan area. They will participate in three competitions in the Metropolitan area. Students who are interested
The objective for the participant in the Recreational program is to have fun learning the basic steps and positions of jazz, tap, ballet and tumbling. Another objective is to enhance participation, memory, listening, sequencing skills, balance and coordination as they express themselves physically. These fun recreational classes focus on coordination, motor skills, sensitivity to music, and spatial awareness through the use of imagination and props. Students will learn the beginning steps and vocabulary for the genres of ballet and tap.
