Karla Eull

Karla Eull trained for 16 years in Tap, Jazz, Ballet and Lyrical at Butterfields Gallery of Dance.  She is a graduate of St. Cloud State University with a degree in Recreation and Sports Management.  Karla's instruction experience includes five years at St. Cloud School of Dance & Ultimate Gymnastics, three years for the St. Cloud State Dance Team Workshops, Omega Dance Workshops in Red Wing, Unite Dance Workshops in Bloomington, and five years at the St. Michael Albertville's Community Education dance program.  Her choreography experience includes five years at the St. Cloud School of Dance and three years for the St. Cloud State Dance Team.  She has instructed classes, choreographed and co-directed at Dyan's World of Dance in Eagan, Minnesota for the past three years. 

Karla has participated in many dance conventions and has competed at both the regional and national levels.  She was a member of the St. Cloud State University National Dance Team and also a member of the Ignite Dance Company.  She has experience as an adjudicator for dance competitions as well as dance team competitions.  Karla is certified in First Aid and CPR.

Ricci Milan

Ricci has established himself as one of the most exciting and entertaining members of today's dance world.  He started dancing at the Larkin Dance Studio where he trained for 12 years.  Since then, he has performed for the NFL, NBA, NCAA, Disney, PBS, Target, Compaq, Best Buy and Opryland.  Ricci is also a master teacher.  He has taught everywhere from Vienna, Austria to Venice, California.  He currently teaches for a number of regional and national conventions, workshops and studios. 

Ricci's passion and ability have given him the honor of performing with the likes of Jason Samuels, Savion Glover and Kirk Franklin.  He is co-creator and co-choreographer of the award-winning international touring company Ten Foot Five.  The group has entertained with great reviews across the globe.  He was also the featured soloist in "One", showing at the Alabama Theatre in Myrtle Beach, and "Tap Happy" showing at Tokyo Disneyland.

Brittany Radke

Brittany is a 2006 graduate from the U of M- twincities with a BFA in Dance.  Her dance training began at her mother's dance studio in Detroit Lakes, MN where she trained for 15 years.  She has attended the Dance Masters of America teachers training seminar, where she was educated in many different teaching styles.  Currently she is on staff as a choreographer at the Youth Performance Company in Minneapolis.  For the past four years she has been an assistant director of the International Dance Challenge dance competition.  Brittany is also currently teaching dance at various studios, preschools and grade schools.

She has worked with many local choreographers including, Karla Grotting, Joe Chvala, Zoe Sealy, Toni Pierce-Sands and Uri Sands.  She has toured with YPC's "Sky Blue Matter" an original musical.  When not dancing Brittany has been seen in hair shows, commercials, and various print work.  

Robert & Gayle Myles (Owners)

Gayle and Robert are the proud owners of Turning Pointe Dance Studio and look forward to helping your children grow in the art of dance.

Gayle and Robert have been actively involved in the studio for 12+ years and assumed ownership in 2007.  They have 2 children dancing with TPDS and enjoy assisting students and parents growing in the love of dance.

Lindsay Lundgren

Lindsay Renae Lundgren is a highly talented and recommended dancer with extensive experience in the use of movement, gesture and body language to portray a character, situation and abstract concept to an audience, to the accompaniment of music; interpreting the work of choreographers, sometimes requiring improvisation. Lindsay possesses a remarkable background in a variety of genres: from classical ballet and tap to contemporary dance and jazz.  She has more than twenty years of experience in dancing and now in dance instruction. Lindsay grew up in the Midwest in Nebraska where she studio danced competitively for 14 years. She then moved to California to pursue her love of dance.  Lindsay spent 7 years in Chula Visa and attended Mesa College where she taught, performed, choreographed, and created dances, costumes and lights for performances. She is also trained in injury prevention and nutrition for dancers. She has prepared for and attended auditions and casting sessions as a dancer, often leading and supervising these sessions. She was also responsible for direct instruction of  students aged 3-adult in jazz, ballet, lyrical, modern and tap classes which included warm up, stretching and strengthening, and cool down segments.

 

During part of her stay in California she spent from 2005-07 working at Scripps Performing Arts Academy, in San Diego, California where she led students aged 3-adult in jazz, ballet, lyrical, modern and tap classes which included warm up, stretching and strengthening, and cool down segments. She assisted in the development of the dance curriculum to meet dance teacher education certification. Lindsay was responsible for generating fresh new ways to present material to keep students interested and involved. She also taught dance classes and lesson for Fine Arts Academy in California before recently relocating to MN. She taught classes for the "Mommy and Me" preschool dance curriculum and worked to develop those lessons at the studio.

 

 Lindsay will be team teaching with Brittany Radke this year on Thursdays with the competition and recreational jazz numbers and Musical Theater piece choreographed by Jeff Quast and working with Turning Pointe's preschool music program and develop a "Mommy and Me" classes well as serve as an outreach instructor for TPDS in neighboring preschools bring music and movement classes to the students there!

Marissa Feddema

As an instructor and choreographer, I strive to share my talents, knowledge, and creativity through the art of dance to all who eagerly wish to experience it and benefit from it. It is my hope, that my class will allow students to absorb its critiques, learn from them, and through application, use them to improve their own dancing.

Marissa is in the Honors College of Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota, majoring in Architecture.

A Fun Fact About Me: The Person Who Has Inspired My Dancing the Most Undoubtedly, Mia Michaels.  Her classes have taught me to use dancing as a direct manifestation of my heart, its greatest predicaments, and its deepest desires.

Tammi Iverson

Miss Tammi has been teaching at WDC since 1996. In her 14 years with the studio she has taught a wide variety of classes. Primarily a ballet instructor, she believes ballet technique in many forms is the foundation of dance. Tammi grew up dancing from the young age of 3 in local dance studios around the metro. In addition to dance studio training as a child, she was part of the alpha class dance program at The Perpich Center for the Arts, a ballet and modern based Arts High School. Upon graduation from Arts High, Tammi continued advanced instruction and dance composition class at Zenon Dance Company and School. An apprentice and scholarship program participant she performed pieces choreographed by Danny Buraczeski, Cathy Young and Paula Mann. It wasn’t long before Tammi realized that the joy of dance came from teaching, and decided to become a full time dance educator and instructor. Sharing her knowledge of many forms of dance, her creativity, and positive energy, she continues to educate and inspire dancers of all ages. Her inventive choreography has won many top awards over the last 18 years in both regional/local and national dance competitions. Her favorite memories involving dance is the time she spends teaching her own daughters the joy of dance. Tammi recently owned her own studio and gave it up to come back to her first love-teaching!

Tammi will be on staff here at TPDS as a ballet instructor, and technique instructor for some of the punch card classes. She will be the primary ballet instructor for our home school ballet program, and to provide help with the fine arts and competition details for the studio. We are lucky to have someone with this well rounded background and experience to complete the
“ packages” for the competition and recreational dance students here at TPDS!!

Megan Halsey

Megan Halsey is a dance instructor and choreographer in the Twin Cities area. She grew up training at Larkin Dance Studio and Ballet Arts Minnesota, and has been teaching ballet, contemporary, modern, and tap in California and Minnesota for the past 9 years. She graduated from California State University, Long Beach in 2005, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Dance, and was a member of Bare Dance Company, and Keith Johnson Dancers for 3 years. She relocated back to Minneapolis and has been teaching and choreographing for various studios for the past 4 years, including NRG center and Poetry in Motion both in the Metro Area. She continues to grow her own musicianship by attending classes and workshops through Zenon Dance and other venues. She is currently going back to school at Metropolitan State University to obtain her Masters Degree in Education, and she is looking forward to continue her teaching now at our studio. She specializes in contemporary ballet technique, and has experience teaching all ages from advanced to beginning. She has had extensive training in Modern, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and hip Hop. She has performed for 10 years all around the US and recently in Poland.

Megan will be on staff this year at TPDS as our main ballet instructor. She will also work with Karla in the advanced technique classes and the advanced lyrical competition group on Tuesdays.

Bryson Hunter

Bryson has been dancing for as long as he can remember. While in high school Bryson was
Co- Captain of his high school hip hop dance team Deeply Royals. Since then Bryson has been performing all around the the Twin Cities at various events such as Minnesota Art Museum, Celebration Of Lake Street, Virgin Islands celebration, Minnesota Vikings Games, Timberwolves Games, Hopkins Performing Arts school, Visage Night Club, Karma Night Club,Epic Night Club, Excape night club, Along with several out of state and country shows. Bryson has also taught at several dance studios such as Art Of Dance, Zenon, Fairview Park, Hopkins High, and North Point Dance Studio. Bryson Continues to choreograph and perform in shows for various major recording artists and local artists.

Bryson will be joining TPDS this year as a team teaching instructor with Bruce DeMorrow for Boys Hip Hop ages 7-12 and also Girls Hip Hop ages 9-16. He will attend the Older Boys competitive hip hop choreography sessions with Ricci Milan here at TPDS and team teach that class with Bruce DeMorrow also!

Bruce DeMorrow

Bruce comes to us from growing up at Woodbury Dance Center where he competed in local regional and national dance competitions. He holds titles for Mr. StarQuest and others for his
Tap dynamic tap dancing. More information about Bruce’s bio will be forthcoming.

Bruce will teach on Wednesdays at TPDS this fall. He will have the Lightning tap group which Ricci will choreograph and Bruce will teach on a weekly basis. He will also do some tap specialty groups, solos, and work with KB on team teaching the recreational boys hip hop and
recreational girls hip hop, and team teach the older boys competitive hip hop group which Ricci will choreograph and work with when he is in town. We welcome this great tapper and teacher to TPDS!

Jeff Quast

Jeff is an active performer of musical theater around the metro area. Jeff’s Chanhassen Cape Playhouse debut in On Your Toes was last summer. Other credits include: Tours—Evita (Europe), The Radio City Christmas Spectacular, and The American Spirit Dance Co. (Asia/US). Regional—Swing! (Maine State Music Theatre), Camelot (Stages St. Louis), The Will Rogers Follies, My One and Only, HONK! and Ragtime (Music Theatre of Wichita). Others: The Queen Elizabeth 2 and Tokyo Disney Resort. Jeff is an OCU graduate and member of Actors’ Equity. Jeff will be choreographing TPDS’ Intermediate-Advanced Musical Theater group for the upcoming season! He is currently performing at the Chanhassen Theater in Footloose.
